Dr. Heileene Torres Colberg, is the sole proprietor of MEDChic, LLC.
After completing her medicine studies and then, her 3 year training in the specialty of Family Medicine in Puerto Rico, she was conferred with the Academic Achievement Award and was certified as Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine in 2014. She also completed her first fellowship in Maternal Child Health/Surgical Obstetrics and a second fellowship in Faculty Development; both in the city of Chicago, IL. Precisely for her academic and professional accomplishments, Dr. Torres-Colberg was recognized by her medical school with the 2016 Notable Alumna Award. On 2018 she was granted the distinction as Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Besides her private practice, she also maintains active medical licenses at the states of Illinois and Ohio where she provides Telemedicine Services. For the past years she has been recognized as Medical Advisor and field Physician of the film industry for local and international movie productions, specially during the Covid 19 pandemia.
Dr. Torres-Colberg is known as past president for 2 consecutive years of the Board of Directors of the Academy of Family Physicians of Puerto Rico and is former president as well of the Women's Health Society of Puerto Rico.
One of her goals was to bring to Puerto Rico for the first time the course Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO), which with her team she has been offering successfully since 2019.
Dr. Heileene Torres-Colberg has made very clear her social and public health commitment concerning women and maternal issues. She strongly believe in preventive medicine and early diagnosis to establish a care plan with her patients. It is this dedication towards her profession and medical education what has made Dr. Torres-Colberg a local and international speaker, as well as a medical consultant, mostly, in women’s health related issues. One of her goals is to teach, be part and achieve the best and newest comprehensive medicine for her patients, their families, and for Puerto Rico.
